Background

A while back I listed and sold a lakefront home on Devon Drive. While I had this listing I had the opportunity to get to know the property whilst visiting it several times during showings, surveys, tours, presenting offers etc. During that time I sat and looked at the most beautiful Artwork that graced its walls, admired the brightest flowers in the garden and hand-picked bouquets on the dining and coffee tables. I watched the waves of Skaha Lake and felt the breeze on my skin.  I loved the built-in bunk beds, the care and thought that went into the design and lifestyle far exceeded the typical Okanagan property.  The connection from the Devon sale to this new listing on Parsons is one of art, friendship, architecture, beauty, natural elements, interior design and a referral from those sellers, —-Thank you!
I’ve thought of that Devon Drive home and those kind sellers often and with so much gratitude. The home didn’t have central air which is one of those things people claim to “need” but this one didn’t need it, I know that’s an odd thing to mention but it stuck with me because the design allowed for the breeze to gently enter the home and it made the elegant classy light fixture sway with a magical energy. (I AM OBSESSED with this fixture) This listing pleasantly introduced me to simple elegant Okanagan living. I was intrigued and inspired at how luxury living could be harmonized by integrating nature.
The same architects that created that beautiful home on Devon had a hand in my new Parsons Road listing. Both homes are perfectly positioned to enjoy the breeze, immaculate views and had several outdoor living options with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that opened allowing for seamless interior and exterior living.  The architect was Vancouver based Burgers Architecture and the design brought about a clear crisp feel.  Years after the first property on Devon sold; the gorgeous art lingered in my thoughts. I knew the sellers were friends’ with the artist and I often wished I had taken more time to pause and enjoy the beauty of both the art and the property.
That was a few years back. I remember exactly because I was pregnant and there was no hiding that. I handed over keys with a little one in an ergo and we negotiated an accepted offer the day after my 2nd son was born. (More to that story but let’s say I never forgot and I learned to appreciate life, and people so much more during this sale)
