Summerland

Summerland is a small town just a few minutes North of Penticton. Summerland has expereinced graceful growth over the last few decades. Summerland is known for the bottleneck wineries, vineyards, orchard views, fruit stands, and unique shops. Locals and visitors enjoy the sandy beaches, dog beaches and boat launches. There are bike paths, walking trails, adventure and quad trails. Enjoy and participate in the family festivals and car shows.

Don't miss the Kettle Valley Steam Train, an entertaining ride with robbers and all!

Summerland is a quiet, laidback town, ignore the one hour parking signs and  stroll main street, watch the quails scatter, linger over the sweets at Willowbrook Lane. You won't get lost in downtown Summerland but you may traveling the quiet country roads. Summerland is a small friendly town with a historic building scheme keeping the charm of the town centre.

Restaurant of choice is Zias. Enjoy a beautiful lunch at the stone house and then enjoy a drive through the countryside enjoying the OKanagan Lakeviews.

I recently sold a home to the Jackson Trigg's wine maker Brooke. As a Thank you I asked her where she would like a dinner out...She introduced me to a great restaurant in Summerland called the Vanilla Pod. It is very popular and worth experiencing. Vanilla Pod. Really glad she put this on my radar.

One last mentionable restaurant is the waterfront Local Lounge. If you are a local or visited for the summer you may remember this location as the old Shaughnesy's Cove. As the Hotel has expanded this is a gorgeous summer location for lunches, dinners or a glass of wine.
