Whether you are visitng the Naramata benches, or traveling through to 
Summerland Sweets you can rest assured that you will come across many hillsdies of beautiful wineries to visit, taste wine and enjoy a lakeview lunch. Bottleneck drive is where you will find most of the Summerland wineries.
The entire Okanagan Valley is home to 99 wineries and 3,000 hectares of vineyards of fine, award-winning wine. Penticton is in the centre of it all - in fact, almost all of the Okanagan's wineries are within an hour's drive in any direction from Penticton.
Penticton's climate is condusive to producing top quality red and white grape vineyards. Because of this, the area wineries are able to produce the most sought after ice wines, red wines, fruit wines and white wines.
The growth of Wine Country continues to grow. Just five years ago, Penticton only had 12 wineries. Now, there are over 22 wineries in our town.
To get a quick sampling of the wonderful wines that come from our region, Visit Penticton's Wine Country Visitor Centre located on Hwy 97 as it offers VQA wines from 50 BC wineries. The Visitor info Centre also houses the Tourism Development, Economic Development and the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce.
Personal Favourites
For wine tasting and lunch, my personal favourite wineries are
LakeBreeze, located at 930 Sammet Road, Naramata. The 2009 Pinot Blanc was named White Wine of the Year and awarded a double gold medal at the 2010 All Canadian Wine Championships. With wine entries in the competition numbering 1143.
Another local favorite is See Ya Later Ranch at Hawthorne Mountain Vineyards
See Ya Later Ranch is located outside of the town of Okanagan Falls, British Columbia in an atmosphere of old world timelessness. The winery’s tasting room and wine shop are housed in the estate’s well-restored, heritage stone home, which dates back to the early 1900s. Relax and enjoy the view on the patio.
